The magic of self motivation || I CAN. I WILL. I MUST || Motivational Video
Motivation is the fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly.” Self-motivation or internal motivation emerges from within and is directly linked with the natural instincts, urges and impulses of an organism.
MAKE YOUR DREAM INTO REALITY
According to Dr. Kalam, “Dream is not that you see in sleep, dream is something that does not let you sleep.” “When I was 10 years old,” said Dr. Kalam, “My teacher told me how birds flew, and took us to see swans flying in the sky and that was the first time I got interested in the concept of flying.” Johnny Bosco was nine years old when he had a dream. The scene of that dream remained vivid in his mind for the rest of his life. He did not delay in putting his dream into reality. He studied, learned various skills, equipped himself and became a priest on June 5, 1841 and was able to dedicate himself full time to the abandoned boys he had seen in his dream. He was St. John Bosco, popularly called Don Bosco. His dream lives on today through his followers known as Salesian of Don Bosco.

THINK BIG, AIM HIGH AND ACT BOLD
One thing that sets apart many successful individuals is their ability to think big and aim high and act bold. Michael Phelps, the greatest swimmer with 28 Olympic medals (23 Gold, 3 Silver, 2 Bronze) allowed himself to think big and he said in an interview, “If you dream as big as you can dream, anything is possible.” Imagine, someone diagnosed with ADHD at the age of seven, suffered the divorce of his parents when he was nine years old was able to achieve what he achieved because he thought big and aimed high and acted bold. If you want to achieve extraordinary results you need to think extraordinary thoughts and take extraordinary steps to achieve them. The problem is that our natural environment mostly conditions us to “play it safe” by thinking small. This leads to so many people living small lives, way below their potential. In order to move beyond the mundane and press into our God-given destinies, we must recondition ourselves to think bigger and aim higher.
Mary Kay Ash said, “If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.” In the words of Jacopo Sannazaro, “Man is only miserable so far as he thinks himself so.”
Thinking you can – is the seed of renewal. Thinking you can – is the essence of possibility. Thinking you can – is the way to a future of choice. Thinking you can – is the beginning of changing your viewpoint on life. “I think I can” is the real test of enduring strength. Virgil said, “They can do all because they think they can.”
William Shakespeare was absolutely right when he said in Hamlet, “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” “The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal”, says Earl Nightingale, “the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.”
I think and therefore my world opens before me. I think therefore I become. I think and my world becomes my playing field. It is that simple and that complex. I encourage you to think today of all the possibilities that lay before you, think of your future of choice, think of the unbounded love that is given to you because you are alive. Think and you will become wonder. Dr Wayne W. Dyer clearly stated, “The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.”
The miracle working power of thinking big can make all the difference to a person’s life. So, “Don’t let small thinking cut your life down to size. Dream it large and make it great.” Think big, aim high and act bold!
TWO KEY WORDS IN EDUCATION | TEACHING IS PRESENCE AND ACCOMPANIMENT | TO TEACH IS TO LOVE
To be present with someone is to be with that person, is to pervade his/her personality. To be present is to be part and parcel of someone else’s life. It isn’t just a physical reality. When I am present in the life of someone I have occupied more than just a corner in the mind and heart of that person. I make him or her real to me. My presence is accompanied by feelings, all kinds of feelings, and sentiments. A mere recalling of my presence evokes the particular feelings that I have created in him/her.
Accompanying is a process. It amounts to ‘being with’ the children through the thick and thin of their life. It requires of the teacher to stand by/with the children even when things go wrong and when seemingly insurmountable problems arise. It means to traverse the territory of the students and walk the way along with them to the place they are headed to. It is a journey together. Accompanying becomes very demanding as far as the time to be spent with the children are concerned. The foundation of Presence and Accompanying is Love. To be a teacher is to love. We learn faster from people we love. We learn faster because we are loved. An atmosphere of trust and acceptance is the key to healthy growth.
